Imagine Nation Mondays Challenge: Home For the Holidays card

OMG !!! Have you noticed how close we are to Christmas !!! I remember when back in July I told all of you that the Holidays were around the corner and look ... only 7 more days left to Halloween !!! ..and I am already behind on my crafting !
This Holiday season will be bitter sweet for me. One of my sons decided to join the ARMY and will be leaving home November 17th :( I will be making 2 Thanksgiving dinners: one before the 17th and one the day it's supposed to be.

I LOVE MY IMAGINE !!!! So, I had to make something for Imagine Nation Mondays with Emma and Sarah. To check out their amazing blogs go to Emma's  here and to Sarah's here.
  • For my project I used the Snow Angel cartridge. This cartridge is sooooooooooo beautiful. It has so many images and each layer can be a project on its own. And don't even get me started on the "patterns" ... absolutely breathtaking :)

  • The snow on the roof, all windows, window shutters and the door are layers.

  • I added Stickles and rhinestones to make the card Christmas sparkly LOL.
  • The pattern paper on the back of the house is from the same cartridge.

The sentiments are  from Pink by Design and the name of the set is: Chistmas Wishes.

FunMare BefOre HaLloWeeN Blog Hop: Non-scary Halloween for toddlers

Hello everyone and welcome to the FunMarE BefOre HaLloWeeN blog hop. You must be arriving here from Madison's at http://www.funkycards.blogspot.com/. The party starts at Jessica's at www.kinderstampo.com/. She told me that if you get lost on the hop, you can go back to her and she will show you the way, or you can check the blog list at the end of my post and, I too can help you get back on track LOL. For this hop, I thought I'd share with you some of the things I am making for my grandson's day care. I will also be making some "non-scary" Halloween cupcakes but, that will be in 2 weeks :)
If the other 10 little ones at the day care (oldest one 29 months) are as scared of Halloween ghosts and masks as my grandson Santiago is, I better play it safe and make this the NON-SCARIEST Halloween ever !!! Gosh, they are so cute at that age !!!

How I made the Non-Scary invites:
  • From the Paper Doll Dress Up(PDDU) cartridge, cut out 2 "Trick or Treat" bags form page 52, at 4 1/2 inches with the Real Dial button on.
  • Cut a strip of paper 2 1/2 x 5 1/4 inches and fold in half. Glue the bags to the strip of paper to make the front and back of the invitation.
  • Cut a bat from PDDU cartridge, page 53. Outline the details with a white pen and make eyes with red Stickles.Write Trick or Treat (over the scored marks). Ink edges. Add bat. Add a ribbon with a simple tag... There you go... cute invite !!!
How I made the Non-Scary Halloween treat bags:
  • Cut from a cartidge or punch out an orange scalloped circle. Punch two small holes close together on the center. Cut or punch out a smaller circle and cut a ghost shape from PDDU cartridge.
  • Thread a thin ribbon through the hole and make a doble knot.
  • Tie tightly to bag with candy. Using this method, it is safe for a child to handle the bag, because no staples were used.
  • attach the ghost shape to smaller circle with 3D dots.
  • Glue to orange circle.

How I made the Non-Scary Halloween tray:
  • Start with a wooden tray
  • Paint the bottom and borders with black acrylic paint
  • Paint interior sides(with handles) of tray orange and exterior sides (with handles) purple. Glue pattern paper to the rest of the sides with Mod Podge or similar product.
  • Cut out different size pumpkins and ghosts from PDDU
  • Ink and decorate

Monster Mash blog hop: Monster MAG-ness with Cricut Imagine !!!

Hello there !!! I hope you got here from http://www.scrapbookaholic.blogspot.com/  because that would mean you are on the right track! LOL. Halloween is one of my favorite Holidays: love the colors, the magic, the weather, the fun ... the treats. This hop is a real challenge, because I was asked to create a Halloween craft with my Cricut Imagine and at this moment there is not a single Imagine cartridge with a Halloween theme. So, since the Cricut Imagine accepts cartridges designed for the Cricut Expression I took those cartridges and installed them into my Imagine. I worked the shapes by coloring them with the colors and patterns of my Imagine cartridges, as I will illustrate shortly. And let me tell you: THE IMAGINE MADE THIS PROJECT SO MUCH FUN AND EASY !!! THE IMAGINE ROCKS !
When making crafts out of cardstock, I like to make things that will last. The craft I made for today's blog hop is a set of monsters that have a magnet on the back (hence the name Monster MAG-ness), so that you can use them on your refrigerator door or any other place you wish to decorate with them.

What did I use to make my Monster magnets ???

Lets do it ! :
  • Cut your chipboard shapes on your Cricut Expression, using Multicut (3X)
  • glue togetter two chipboard shapes if the cut out shape is to flimsy.
  • First, insert your Imagine cartridge into the Imagine. Once the machine has accepted it, insert the "regular" cartridge.
  • Select the images you want to cut from the PDDU cartridge.
  • Now, select the little icon that will take you to use the Imagine More cartridge, from which you will add color to your shapes.
  • Select the image you want to EDIT.
  • This image will show up and you will tap on the "pencil" image. Now, choose your size, color, etc.
  • Once on the "MAT SCREEN" tap on the images layed out on the mat for further editing. In this occasion, I tapped the copy symbol, as seen in the picture. It takes a few seconds, but it will make an identical copy of the shape selected.
    • This is how my first images came out.
    • How cool is this??? This are most of the cuts I needed for my project, as I am making extra Monster magnets to give away. SUPER fast, SUPER fun and, SUPER easy. I LOVE MY CRICUT IMAGINE !!!!
  • Cover the chipboard cut shapes with the colored shapes made on the Imagine.
  • Stamp faces with Peachy Keen Stamps
  • HAVE FUN DRESSING UP YOUR MONSTERS !!! ... And glue a round magnet on the back. Look at what my Monster magnet is holding on my refrigerator !!! LOL

Imagine Nation blog hop: Design your own T-shirts !!! / Dise~na tus propias "T-shirts" !!!

So happy you arrived safely from Meriah's blog at http://twoscraptasticgals.blogspot.com/ !!! I am sooooo excited with this blog hop, mainly because my Cricut IMAGINE is my new love and I want to share that with all of you !!! Previously on my blog, I posted two projects I had made with my IMAGINE using white cardstock: I made a wall hanging and a card. This machine is so wonderful, that this time I printed and cut iron-on-transfer paper, to make beautiful T-shirts for my grandson. The results were amazing !!! And best of all, I did a whole pack of 5 white T-shirts in about an hour, and that is including ALL the ironing time. I could have gone on and on !!!  LOL Now what I need are more IMAGINE cartridges to have a wider variety of themes to work with. And now, without further ado, I present to you: MY PROJECT !!!

What you need:
***Necesitas:
  • White cotton T-shirts (**Camisetas blancas de algodon)
  • Iron on transfer paper for inkjet printers. I used Print'n Press that I got at Walmart. (Papel de transferencia para impresoras inkjet)
Let's do it! :
***Hagamoslo!:
  • Wash, dry and iron the T-shirts .Do NOT use fabric softener.(**Lave, seque y planche la camiseta. No use suavizador)
  • Set your IMAGINE machine: (**Ajuste su maquina IMAGINE)
    • pressure: 3 (**presion)
    • depth: 4 (**profundidad)
    • speed: 3 (**velocidad)
    • select the "combine" button on the top-left part of your screen (**seleccione el boton "combine")

  • IMPORTANT: Select the "FLIP HORZ" button if you are using words on your transfer. You can select this button on the "mat" screen, also. Not doing this will cause that the written messages come out backwards when you iron it to the T-shirt. (***Seleccione el boton "FLIP HORZ" para invertir las letras. De esta manera, cunado planche la imagen, las letras le quedaran al derecho)

  • This is how the cut and printed image looks like on the mat.

Now, let's put our T-shirt together:

  • Iron the image onto the T-shirt (**Planche la imagen a la camiseta)

  • carefully remove the paper backing when it is cold (** Remueva el papel blanco cuando este frio y disfrute su creacion!!!)

  • enjoy your new creation !!!!!!

Other designs I made:

NOTE: The pumpkin is one of the images that comes "built in" the machine. It is only a silhouette of a pumpkin. I used paint markers to embellish it and to make the face. (*** La calabaza es solo una silhueta. La pinte con marcadores de pintura para hacer la carita)

It was so nice having you stop by and I really hope you come back again some other time :)

CaNdy*CanDy*cAnDY: Leave a comment at the end of this post for a chance to win a $15 gift card from Oh My Crafts. The winner will be chosen using random.org on Monday afternoon. (***Deje un comentario para la oportunidad de ganar un certificado de $15 de Oh My Crafts.

There will be a grand prize: GYPSY, donated by Provocraft and 6 Imagine cartridges, also donated by Provocraft. The winners of the prizes donated by Provocraft will be chosen from comments posted on ALL of the BLOGS !!!
Now hurry and hop on to Kimmy's blog at  http://scrappinwithkimmy.blogspot.com/ and see what surprise project is waiting for you !!!
