Mother's Day card for my Daughter Cindy.

In just eight days it will be Mother's Day. It will be my oldest daughter, Cynthia, third Mother's Day !!! She is so awesome !!! She not only is a mommy (to my only grandson) and a wife, but she is about to start her last year as a Resident of Pediatrics. She drives everyday an hour and a half each way to the hospital. She has to stay every four days overnight in the hospital to work. She has passed all her USMLE tests and is thinking on specializing even more, once she finishes General Pediatrics.
My project today is the Mother's Day card I made for my daughter Cindy.
  • RECIPE:
    • cartridges:
    • Spellbinders Embossing Dies Ribbon Tag
    • Prima Flowers

"Just A Little Hello" card.

Hello!!!! I am so excited !!! Today I got to use for the very first time my Gypsy with my Imagine after the latest update. I designed the front of the card with it's layers using the "Imagine" section of the Gypsy, and was able to "save" my design for future use. Then, I needed to weld two circles to create the card base. For that, I used the regular Gypsy features by welding two circles with the Create a Critter cartridge, but I cut the image with the Imagine, while having the Gypsy still connected to it. I used a sand colored cardstock for the card base.
I choose a cute, all occasion card for my project. One can never have too many of those !!!
  • RECIPE:
    • cartridges:
    • cardstock: American Crafts (white) ; DCWV (sand color)
    • ribbon
    • Sakura Gelly Roll glitter pens in blue and stardust
    • sienna and blue-green ink for inking borders
  • Design project on the Gypsy. Follow the instructions on the Gypsy and Imagine screens. Print and cut.

  • Cut the card base by welding 2 circles and a square in the middle of the circles. Glue a bird to the inside of the card.

  • Put together all the layers. Paint the bird with glitter pens.

  • I did the "COMBINED" version of the card, to compare vs. the layered card.

Once more, thank you for stopping by. Have a Happy Easter Sunday :)

Easter Treat Bag Made With Lunch Brown Bags and Cricut Imagine.

Oh yes !!!! In only 8 more days it will be Easter !!! I am so excited because, we are introducing my grandson to our family traditions and we are having a ball. He is in Day Care and they will be having an Easter Egg Hunt !!! ... his first ever, and I have to be there to see him and take pictures. Then, next Sunday, he will be getting his Easter candy and dyed eggs. He will be dressed like a little prince for church.

So, with Easter coming so soon, I decided to make some Easter treat bags, using my Imagine and some lunch brown bags. They are so cute !!!
  • RECIPE:
  • Cut and print the scallop oval. Fold it in half.

  • Fold the bag in half.
  • Cut 1 1/2 inch from fold line.
  • Pierce 2 small holes on the bag's fold. Thread a pice of hemp cord app. 9 inches long. Make a knot on each end.
  • Cut and print a rabbit/bunny. Decorate and glue to a green scalloped circle.
  • Add the bunny piece to the scalloped oval. Make a bow and add on top of bunny piece.

  • Make a slit on the scalloped oval fold, long enough to go from one end of the hemp handle to the other. Insert the hemp handle through the stlit.
  • Make grass by cutting a strip of cardstock and cutting it with fringe scissors.

HAVE A WONDERFUL EASTER SUNDAY !!!!

Toy Story Birthday Party for my Grandson: The Invites

OMG !!! My grandson's 3rd birthday is just around the corner; actually, it is on May 15th !!! We decided that it was going to be a Toy Story theme birthday party. And, I will tell you a secret: when I first went through the Toy Story handbook I thought I was going to have a heart attack when I saw all the gazillion little pieces for each shape. I have had the cartridge for some months now, but was afraid to use it !!! LOL Today I must say, I conquered my fears !!! YAY !!! And it was all thanks to my Cricut Imagine machine !!!
With the Imagine, all you have to do is put a piece of 12x12 white cardstock on the mat, select all the pieces you need for your image and,  color each piece needed right there !!! There is no need of picking the right color cardstock, cutting it to the right size and laying it on the mat !!! This machine is a big time saver. I love it !!!!!!!!!
  • RECIPE:
  • Choose shape, print and color the parts, ensemble.

  • Glue Woody shape onto card base. Glue the frame onto the card base.

And, there you go !!! Baby Santiago's first b-day invite is done !!!! Isn't it the cutest thing ??? I wonder how many more to go ??? hmmmm.... I know I will be very busy this week ! LOL See you next Saturday !
