"Just A Little Hello" card.

Hello!!!! I am so excited !!! Today I got to use for the very first time my Gypsy with my Imagine after the latest update. I designed the front of the card with it's layers using the "Imagine" section of the Gypsy, and was able to "save" my design for future use. Then, I needed to weld two circles to create the card base. For that, I used the regular Gypsy features by welding two circles with the Create a Critter cartridge, but I cut the image with the Imagine, while having the Gypsy still connected to it. I used a sand colored cardstock for the card base.
I choose a cute, all occasion card for my project. One can never have too many of those !!!

• RECIPE:
• cartridges:
• Imagine More Cards: Card front
• Create a Critter: circles for card base
• Plantin Schoolbook: square to join/weld the to circles to make card base
• cardstock: American Crafts (white) ; DCWV (sand color)
• ribbon
• Sakura Gelly Roll glitter pens in blue and stardust
• sienna and blue-green ink for inking borders
• Design project on the Gypsy. Follow the instructions on the Gypsy and Imagine screens. Print and cut.

• Cut the card base by welding 2 circles and a square in the middle of the circles. Glue a bird to the inside of the card.

• Put together all the layers. Paint the bird with glitter pens.

• I did the "COMBINED" version of the card, to compare vs. the layered card.

Flower in Pot B-Day card / tarjeta de cumplea~nos Flor en tiesto

Hello everyone !!! It's a beautiful sunny morning here in western Puerto Rico :) My oldest daughter's birthday (Cindy) is this Sunday August 15th. I cannot believe she is almost 30 !!! WOW! This card is meant to represent how my precious daughter, has turned from a tiny seed into a gorgeous blooming flower. The expression on the stamped face on the flower looks so much like hers !!! ... She is always happy and smiling; and when she does, her eyes almost close ... just like the face on the flower !!!
These are the materials I used to make this lovely birthday card. It was designed on the Gypsy.

• DCWV: Flower Shower Spring stack; Sweet Mat stack
• Stampin Up: Kraft

• Martha Stewart

Stamps:

• Peachy Keen: PK-590 Blushing Bride, for the face
• Stampin Up: Whimsical Words (Palabras Caprichosas), for sentiment.

Cuttlebug folders were used on flower petals and pot.

ELMO Second b-day invite !!! *** Invitacion de ELMO para Segundo Cumplea~nos!!!

HI !!! If you are planning an ELMO b-day party for a child, I have posted some of the things that I made for my grandson's b-day. This invite I designed using my Gypsy. It is designed so that you can get two invites from an 8.11 x 11 piece of cardstock (I got inexpensive cardstock for these invites at Walmart). Here are a sequence of the steps it took to design the card in the Gypsy, with the name of the cartridges and materials used.

*** Hola !!! Si tienes en mente hacerle a tu ni~no una fiestecita de ELMO, veras en mi blog varias cositas que prepare para el cumplea~nos de mi nietecito. Esta invitacion la dise~ne en mi Gypsy. Esta dise~nada de manera tal que puedas obtener dos invitaciones de un pedazo de cartulina (cardstock) 8.5 x 11 ( la que yo use, la consegui super economica en Walmart). A continuacion, muestro fotos de los pasos que segui para el dise~no de la tarjeta en la Gypsy, los nombres de los cartuchos de Cricut usados y los demas materiales.

                                                           

1. In the first picture, two cards are cut at once. The card was formed by grouping and welding a rectangle and a number 2 from the Don Juan cartridge. The dimensions for the card can be seen on the Gypsy screen.
2. Next picture, are the number 2s that I cut, embossed with a Cuttlebug folder and placed over the part of the card that is shaped like the number 2.
3.  In the third picture I used the Sesame Street and Friends cartridge to design  the ELMOs that I cut at the waist to fit on the bottom of the card.
4. I went over the details of the cut of the face with a thin marker with which I also colored the pupils of the eyes. 
5. The Sesame Street logo was also cut from the Sesame Street and Friends cartridge.
6. The letters and yellow background were done with crayons. :)

1. En la primer foto, se cortan dos tarjetas a la vez. La tarjeta se formo al agrupar y soldar (group and weld) dos rectangulos y un numero 2 del cartucho Don Juan.
2. En la proxima foto se encuentran los cortes del numero 2 que se pasaron por un sobre para dar textura de Cuttlebug y fueron colocados en la tarjeta sobre la parte que tiene forma del numero 2.
3.  En la tercer foto use el cartucho de Sesame Street and Friends para dise~nar las figuras de ELMO que corte a la cintura para acomodarlas en la parte de abajo de la tarjeta.
4. Con un marcdor de punta fina, marque los contornos de la cara y la pupila de los ojos.
5. El logo de Sesame Street fue cortado directamente del cartucho de Sesame Street and Friends.
6. Las letras de colores  y el fondo amarillo, fueron hechos con crayolas. :)
